Scholarship Opportunities for Law Students

Now that you’ve applied, it’s time to start looking into scholarships! Law school can be very expensive, so financial aid and scholarships will be your best friend. There are numerous scholarship opportunities available, and we highly recommend you apply for as many as you can. Keep reading to learn about some of your options and become more immersed into the law world. 

  1. Bader Scott “Future Lawyers of America” scholarship offers $2,500 to students who come from financially disadvantaged families. Both undergraduate applicants and current law students can apply.

  2. 7Sage 7K Law School Scholarship offers $7,000 based on two essay prompts. Both pre-law and incoming 1L students are eligible to apply. 

  3. Blueprint LSAT Law School Scholarship offers $20,000 to any undergraduate law students who are planning on taking the LSAT. 

  4. Sarita and Claire Wright Lucas Foundation offers $5,000 to African-American female law students who are interested in the career path of a prosecutor. This scholarship will cover the cost of the bar application up to $5,000. 

  5. LGBT Public Interest Scholarship Program offers up to $5,000 for students who identify as LGBTQ+ or who are planning to work in the LGBTQ+ community. Current law students and law graduates studying for the bar exam are eligible to apply. 

  6. Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund offers up to $10,000 to 5 to 15 applicants throughout the nation. Law students focusing on the civil rights of the Latino community in the United States are eligible to apply. 

  7. Sidney B. Williams, Jr. Scholar Program offers a three-year tuition grant of $10,000 per year. Students exploring a career in patent law and/or STEM, and racially and ethnically diverse students are eligible to apply. 

  8. American Indian College Fund is a scholarship that is offered to Native American citizens who are either active members in a tribe or descendents of active members. Students enrolled at tribal universities are also eligible to apply.
